Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson hopes Queens Park Rangers might help his side win the Premier League title, despite Manchester City holding the advantage with one game remaining.
Defending champions United beat Swansea 2-0 on Sunday to transport level on points with Roberto Mancinis side, who had earlier beaten Newcastle by the identical scoreline.
Players Twitter reaction
Man Citys Vincent Kompany: "Incredible team performance. Im so happy and proud to stroll out at the pitch alongside these great players."
Man Utds Rio Ferdinand: "So its right down to the last day of the season to make a decision where the title goes... roll on next weekend! #believe."
Man Citys Sergio Aguero: "We would have liked to win this game it doesn't matter what and we got it by leaving everything at the pitch."
Man Utds Tom Cleverley: "2,000 guineas, FA cup final, Mayweather-Cotto, title race! Doesnt get far better for sports fans."
City now face Mark Hughes QPR at the final day of the season and in the event that they can match or better Uniteds result against Sunderland, they'll win the English title for the 1st time in 44 years.
QPR are fighting relegation and want some extent to make sure of retaining their Premier League status.
Ferguson said: "The entire way forward for the club may very well be resting at the game and that i only wish Sparky [former United striker and town boss Hughes] was playing.
"Mark knows his job okay. He was sacked by City in a completely unethical way and hell understand that. Mark Hughes teams always fight but QPR players are fighting for survival."
Hughes said: "It might be a lovely story if we were capable of go there and get something, they're going for titles and we're seeking to stay on this league.
"I probably checked out the fixtures after I first got the job and that one loomed quite ominously - however is upon us now and we've still got a chance to remain within the league by our own effort."
City boss Roberto Mancini remains cautious about his sides possibilities of clinching the title.

Title race not finished - Roberto Mancini
"It isn't finished. It's important that we get three points next week. We want an enormous effort - there's one game more," he said.
"QPR would be tough, they're fighting to prevent relegation. Nothing changes. It's ours to lose. It doesnt depend upon other teams from now on."
Ferguson believes the chances are against United winning a 20th title but intends to fight to the general whistle.
"Weve wat the title on three occasions on the last day and we dont mind doing it again," he said. "City are red-hot favourites and can have the desire to make sure they win the match.
"The expectancy and responsibility of Manchester United players is to win the match. Well go there optimistic. It wont be easy but well have a go."
Match of the Day pundits
Alan Shearer on City: "Roberto Mancinis substitution, bringing Nigel de Jong on, enabled Yaya Toure to get further forward. It was a large change and the best one as City went directly to win their game. i feel its all the way through. Its Citys year."
Lee Dixon on United: "Im sure Alex Ferguson recognised the flatness at Old Trafford today and may address that. If QPR got some extent against City, it wouldnt be the main dramatic results of the season so i believe its all to play for still."
- Football fixtures - each day
United had hoped to shut the advantage in goal difference held by City - it really is eight better than the champions - with a huge win against Swansea, but they can only match their rivals 2-0 winning margin.
Paul Scholes and Ashley Young scored before the break, but a succession of missed chances means the destination of the title is sort of certainly out in their hands.
"Im satisfied with the passion of the players, they did well," insisted Ferguson. "It may easily were a kind of days where their heads were down a little but they did well with good professionalism. Its a good result.
"Swansea just killed the sport and it is rather difficult to get the ball off them."
