Microsoft reportedly launching subsidized Xbox 360 bundle next week for $99 with a two-year subscription

Microsoft has long been pushing to get the Xbox 360 into as many living rooms as possible, and it seems like it could possibly now be about to try a brand new tactic to further expand its reach. In response to The Verge's sources, the corporate will launch a brand new bundle next week in an effort to include both a 4GB Xbox 360 console and a Kinect sensor for just $99 -- the one catch being that you're going to even have to sign a two-year contract at a rate of $15 a month. That can offer you access to the Xbox Live Gold service, and potentially some additional streaming content, in addition to a two-year warranty (there's also naturally an early termination fee for those who break the contract). From the sound of factors, though, the hot offering may be getting something of a soft launch -- the one outlet mentioned for the bundle up to now is the rather limited collection of Microsoft Stores within the US.
