Warren hits out at boxing board

Frank Warren has written to boxing bosses to hunt clarity over threats to take away his managers licence.

The British Boxing Board of Control last week claimed any licence holder fascinated with the forthcoming fight between Dereck Chisora and David Haye will be stripped in their membership.

But Warren, who's Chisoras manager, has challenged the boards stance.

Neither boxer holds a British licence, with Chisora suspended in February after the duo brawled in Munich.

Warrens letter to the BBBofC

“Under rule 4.12 of your individual Rules and Regulations, as a licence holder i will participate (a) in or be at a promotion that's licensed by the BBBofC; or (b) in or at a Promotion organised by a Federation, Commission, Association or Controlling Authority affiliated to, or recognised by the BBBofC. The Federation Luxembourgoise De Boxe is a Federation affiliated to and recognised by the Board. Both are affiliated to the EBU (European Boxing Union). As that Federation is sanctioning the Haye v Chisora fight, my participation is just not a breach of your rules.”

Chisora has appealed against the verdict, while Haye hasn't ever renewed his licence after announcing his retirement from the hoop in October 2011, following his defeat by Wladimir Klitschko.

However, Warren insists there's nothing illegal about Chisoras fight with Haye at Londons Upton Park on Bastille Day being licensed by the Luxembourg Boxing Federation instead of the BBBofC.

His letter to BBBofC general secretary Robert Smith defends the validity of the fight and asks for written assurances that his licence isn't removed.

Warren insists that no BBBofC rules might be broken as the Luxembourg Boxing Federation is an affiliated member of the eu Boxing Union and recognised by its British counterparts.

He argues that the BBBofC has previously licensed fights in Dubai, Egypt and Portugal, so there's a precedent for an additional boxing board licensing a fight in England.

He gives several the explanation why the fight won't bring the game into disrepute, including the Luxembourg Boxing Federation meeting all medical and safety requirements.

Warrens letter also notes that the BBBofC has no problem with the WBA licensing Floyd Mayweather to fight again despite his conviction for domestic violence.

Greater than 20,000 tickets were sold for the Chisora-Haye fight within two days of occurring sale.

Main Sequence claims Derby trial

Main Sequence moved into the Epsom Derby picture after beating favourite Shantaram to win the Lingfield Trial.

It was a fourth win in a row for the David Lanigan-trained three-year-old (3-1), ridden by Ted Durcan.

Shantaram (5-4) looked in good form when he came through at the inside but Main Sequence quickened up nicely.

Although Shantaram tried to chase him down, Main Sequence won by three-quarters of a length with Cavaleiro a way back in third.

Lanigan, a former assistant to Sir Henry Cecil, said afterwards: "Well take a seat with the horses owners the Niarchos family and racing manager Alan Cooper and spot how he comes out of it.

"There's a question mark on his breeding whether he's going to stay the Derby trip, but Ted said he galloped out to the road and when the opposite horse came to him he was somewhat idle.

"The plan was if he won today and we were impressed we'd try this [visit Epsom].

"Ive been very, very lucky, the Niarchos family have supported me from day one and Im very grateful for that."

Durcan has no fears about his mount getting a mile and a half and added: "He was really switched-off and settled. He found loads and may stay a mile and a half. Hes a beautiful horse and is hopefully at the way up. Theres no reason to think he wont stay."

Main Sequence is now around a 20-1 chance for the Classic on 2 June. The betting is headed by the Aidan OBrien-trained Camelot who won last weekends 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket.

Harlequins 25-23 Northampton

Harlequins booked a spot of their first Premiership final with a narrow win over Northampton in a good play-off semi-final on the Stoop.

Ryan Lamb kicked Saints to a slender half-time lead with four penalties in answer to Nick Evanss three.

The sport remained deadlocked as both fly-halves exchanged three-pointers.

Lee Dicksons try gave Saints an eight-point lead with 10 minutes to move but Joe Marlers try to five more points from Evanss boot sealed the win.

With Chris Ashton a late Saints withdrawal on account of a back injury, Vasily Artemyev was called onto the Saints right wing.

The match pitted brothers Karl and Lee Dickson against one another inside the number nine shirts and it was sibling bristling that resulted in the primary score.

When Lee Dickson prevented his older brother from taking a fast penalty Evans took good thing about the ten metres that were added to fit a second-minute penalty.

Despite being down a person Northampton spread the ball - engineering a promising Paul Diggin break on the death of the primary half.

Two minutes after the break Jordan Turner-Hall thought he had scored from a short five-metre throw in after Ben Foden beat his England full-back rival Mike Brown to a kick to the corner.

But referee Andrew Small called the play back for the reintroduction of the suspended Wilson.

Quins had started the half with a renewed vigour and quick tempo and were rewarded when Evans pulled the scores back even eight minutes into the half.

Saints, shorn of 4 in their regular forwards, were treading water within the scrum and finally crumbled on 50 minutes.

Lamb brought the score to fifteen-15, moments after being at fault seeing his side going behind, when Quins impeded their opposition on the restart.

Paul Doran-Jones replaced Brian Mujati on 55 minutes to take a look at and provides Saints a platform at scrumtime but no sooner did the change happen that Saints were shoved back five metres.

Lamb made it 18-15 after his interception took Saints into Quins 22 but Evans missed the danger to provide his side parity at the hour.

Saints made him pay on 66 minutes when skipper Dickson ended a unprecedented foray into Quins half by crashing over after fine offloading from the East Midlanders.

Lamb missed the extras but Evans took his chance to make it a five-point game at 23-18.

With five minutes to move Quins went for broke with a driving maul and Marler grounded the ball under a sea of bodies and Evans stepped as much as give the hosts a famous victory.

Cambodian-American Photographer Chronicles Displaced

What's it want to be stuck between worlds - to feel like you're neither something nor another?  That is the situation Pete Pin finds himself in.  Pin is a Cambodian-American photographer based in Big apple. He's currently engaged on a protracted term project to chronicle the lives of Cambodians in America.  He calls the project Displaced, and says it's an exploration of psychological disconnection and the legacy of the Khmer Rouge. Brian Calvert has more from the Bronx, Manhattan.

Pete Pin, 30, is on a quest. The photographer is are seeking for his heritage amid the Cambodian enclaves of America. Along the best way, he's documenting dislocation.

Today, he has come to a Cambodian temple, within the Bronx neighborhood of latest York City.

"This temple is the middle of the Cambodian community, and it is very, very small as you will see that," Pin notes.  "There's just one monk here.  And it's carved out of the distance here on this neighborhood where it's this backyard here, and right outside is someone else's backyard.  There is a very amazing sense of community inside the Bronx, but you notice it in people's homes, and also you see it isolated in certain areas."

Isolation is a recurring theme in Pin's photographs - from California, where he grew up, to Philadelphia, Manhattan and other corners of America.  Another theme is disconnection:

"What's style of beautiful about photography is that these items are only there, you recognize, they're always there… however the photos are a manifestation of my very own generational, cultural and historical displacement," Pin explains.

Only a couple of hundred Cambodian families live within the Bronx. This temple is a prime center of worship for them.  It's the Cambodian New Year, and these boys are learning to put in writing in Khmer, the language in their motherland.

These are the moments Pin seeks to capture, as he puts together a growing exhibition for Cambodians in America, for those back home, and for non-Cambodians who won't understand the difficulties Cambodian refugees have had inside the US.

But Pin, whose parents survived the Khmer Rouge, also shoots to locate part of himself.

"The name of the project is Displaced, and what that truly means is that there is without a doubt this physical displacement in relation to what it means to be a refugee," Pin adds.  "i will not say myself that i am physically displaced, because i am not. I'm American, this is often my home. But i'm culturally displaced. I exist during this vacuum of identity, where i do not know what it means to be either fully American or Cambodian. And also to that, there's this legacy that I actually have in my heart and on my shoulders that was given to me at birth resulting from what my parents lived through. And i'm trying for many of my adult life to actually understand what that implies.

Today what that suggests is a brief language lesson of his own, once the camera is put away.

MK Dons 0-2 Huddersfield

Huddersfield took a giant step towards the League One play-off final with a deserved semi-final first leg victory at MK Dons.

Jordan Rhodes struck midway during the first half, guiding his header beyond Dons keeper David Martin.

Dean Lewington missed a very good chance to level from four yards out before Lee Novak squandered a chance to double the Terriers lead.

But Jack Hunts well-taken finish gave the away side a two-goal cushion.

The play-offs had been unkind to either side in past campaigns - MK have didn't transcend the semi-finals in three attempts, while the Terriers have fallen short on the post-season stage within the last two campaigns.

Black Caviar claims 21st victory

Australian sprinter Black Caviar stretched her record unbeaten run to 21 by winning the gang One Goodwood at Morphettville, Adelaide.

It was the five-year-olds final race before flying to England for Junes Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Jockey Luke Nolen, who eased the mare to victory by greater than a length, said: "We were never out of second gear."

Earlier within the week, trainer Peter Moody rejected claims that Black Caviar needed to prove herself at Royal Ascot.

When it was suggested to him that his mare had not beaten any major international horses in Australia, Moody replied: "You've got never seen anything like this horse before.

The global sprint challenge is a ten-race series in six countries. Three races manifest in England - Junes Kings Stand Stakes and Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot and the Darley July Cup at Newmarket

"It might be an absolute tragedy if she went there [to Ascot] and got beaten by your B-grade sprinters for half the prize money and [travelling] three-quarters of how world wide."

Moody also warned that he does not run Black Caviar if she was not 100% fit following her flight to England.

"If I take her each of the excess of there and she or he shouldn't be right I wont run her for the sake of running," he said.

Black Caviar was installed as favourite by bookmakers for the race, prior to local sprinters Bated Breath and Hoof It.

The mare may also run at Newmarket on Bastille Day within the July Cup, another leg of the worldwide Sprint Challenge.

Sir Alex Ferguson is unsure whether Rio Ferdinand can deal with playing in all of Englands matches at Euro 2012.

The Manchester United boss fears the 33-year-olds long-standing back problem would go away him unable to handle the harsh match schedule.

Serena to stand Azarenka in final

Serena Williams will play world no 1 Victoria Azarenka in Sundays final of the Madrid Open when they both enjoyed straightforward last-four wins.

American Williams, 30, was taken to a tie-break inside the first set of her game against Czech qualifier Lucie Hradecka.

But she breezed during the second set, breaking Hradecka 3 times to wrap up a 7-6 (7-5) 6-0 victory.

Azarenka, who's chasing a fifth title in 2012, hit 29 winners in her 6-2 6-4 thrashing of Agnieszka Radwanska.

Williams is in fine form though, having beaten Maria Sharapova within the last eight and simply overcoming Hradecka who's ranked 105 on the planet.

The primary set went with serve but Williams edged the tie-break after which immediately broke inside the opening game of the second one set to take the initiative, while Hradecka, who made 22 unforced errors within the game, faded.

Within the mens semi-finals, former world primary Roger Federer takes on Janko Tipsarevic while Tomas Berdych faces Juan Martin del Potro.

"We've got won 10 out of the last 11 league games and that has got us to a house semi-final so were delighted with that and delighted with the spirit of the lads," he told BBC East Midlands Today.

"We're good at semi-finals and knockout stages. Our mentality is excellent so we need to take that into the weekend. Saracens are an excellent side but we're confident."

Cockerill has good reason to be chipper. Not just are his side the shape team within the Premiership (they've got taken five bonus points and scored 29 tries of their last six games) but they've got huge experience of the tip-of-season knockout.

This has happened in a remarkable season that has seen the Tigers languish second from bottom, shorn of internationals and limp with injuries, to roar their approach to finish the regular season second from top.

Saturday might be their eighth successive Premiership play-off semi-final - and the side have never lost a house game at this stage.

Compared, Saracens have made the last three play-offs but will take confidence from their recent visits to LE2, despite the Tigers being seriously under strength in September by using World Cup call-ups.

But there's a school of thought in some quarters that Sarries gameplan isn't very quite as effective because it once was.

While their set-pieces, especially their line-out, remains to be very dependable, their tactics have, occasionally, been found wanting.

Sarries are missing a fine back-row trio in Kelly Brown, Jacques Burger and Andy Saull through injury and their loss was felt.

Premiership defeats by Worcester, Quins and Leicester point to their Premiership crown slipping but Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall could be well aware that just a last-gasp drop-goal by Geordan Murphy could separate the edges at Vicarage Road in February.

Hamilton beats Maldonado to pole

McLarens Lewis Hamilton took pole position on the Spanish Grand Prix earlier than the surprise pairing of Pastor Maldonado and Fernando Alonso.

Hamilton was an incredible 0.578 seconds quicker than Maldonados Williams, with Alonsos improved Ferrari just missing out on a front-row slot.

Sebastian Vettel was eighth after not setting a time within the final session.

McLarens Jenson Button and Vettels Red Bull team-mate Mark Webber were 11th and 12th.

They missed out for various reasons - Button was suffering from the handling of his car and Webber since the team erroneously thought his first lap will be quick enough to get him through.

Both Hamilton and Alonso said that they had done "perfect" laps to secure their positions.

"i believe fantastic," Hamilton said. "You could always be at liberty with pole but youre always searching for that perfect lap, and that i really felt I got everything out of the auto.

"Everything was really sweet, I didnt miss any apexes and thats an important experience, but tomorrow goes to be a tricky race. Its going to be about taking care of your tyres and getting the correct pit stops and being patient."

Hamilton delighted with best ever pole

Alonso, who was driving a car with a lot of upgrades, added: "We did a leap forward, I dont know the way much because i suspect P3 is over-performing.

"i used to be really comfortable with the lap, it was perfect, i'll fit 100 more sets of tyres and never do better."

Maldonados second position was by far the appropriate performance of his career, and it underlines Williamss return to form this season after a variety of difficult seasons .

"We now have been working so hard looking to understand these tyres and to develop our car around these tyres," Maldonado said.

"We did an outstanding leap forward for this race. There's a great atmosphere within the factory and team. The automobile looks fantastic especially on race pace."

All of the teams were struggling to get the ideal out of the tyres The race may be won and lost and tyre wear and strategy - and that explains why Vettel is to this point down.

He'll probably start at the tougher hard tyre - teams ought to use both forms of tyre within the race - and Red Bull have gambled as a way to be a higher strategy in the end.

He said: "I dont know (where it went wrong). All day i've struggled with the balance, yesterday the automobile was fantastic, i assumed wed be quick enough today, at the very least get into Q3. Ive struggled with a completely different balance.

"Then in qualifying I struggled with oversteer after which once I added more front end I had understeer. I dont know whats happening.

"The speeds within the car I just dont know whats taking place with mine."

Red Bull trio consider difficult session

Lotus drivers Romain Grosjean and Kimi Raikkonen were fourth and fifth fastest sooner than Saubers Sergio Perez.

Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg was seventh, previous to Vettel, the second one Mercedes of Michael Schumacher and Kamui Kobayashis Sauber.

Jennifer Hudson, Sister Send Prayers to Family of William Balfour

Not long after William Balfour was found guilty of murdering her mother, brother and nephew, Jennifer Hudson released an email statement concerning the tragedy as a complete.

“We have now felt the affection and support from people world wide, and we’re very grateful,” Hudson and sister Julia said, extending a prayer “from the Hudson family to the Balfour family" because "now we have all suffered a terrible loss during this tragedy."

Quoting Scripture, the Hudson sisters concluded:

Balfour faces life in prison, and his attorney plans to appeal her client's multiple convictions next month.

Inspired by the graphic novel "Five Fists of Science" -- and maybe encouraged by the plucky MIT student who made his own Tesla coil hat and survived -- a DIYer named Rob designed a Tesla coil gun, which he says is fully functional. Rob used a Nerf gun cast in aluminum for the housing and created a high voltage switch with a 3D powder printer. The gun is powered by an 18V ion drill battery and a flyback transformer housed inside a PVC plumbing end cap. Though Rob has yet to fireplace the gun, photos show what he says are sparks from the setup, and a demo clip is at the way. While video proof is usually nice, so is preserving your life. Venezuelan President Returns Home After Cancer Treatments in Cuba

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez returned home from Cuba late Friday following 11 days of cancer treatment, calling his latest radiation therapy successful.  

After arriving in Caracas, the 57-year-old socialist leader said he must rigorously follow medical advice in coming days with a purpose to continue recuperating.

Chavez began treatments in March following operations in February and last June to take away tumors from his pelvic area.

President Chavez has yet to reveal information about his kind of cancer.  He has previously said his condition is not going to keep him from campaigning for re-election prior to the October 7 presidential election.

Chavez was in power since 1999.

US Surfer Rides Biggest Wave, Breaks Guinness Record

International surfing officials and the Guinness Book of worldwide records have officially confirmed an enormous wave caught by a U.S. surfer off the coast of Portugal last November was the largest wave ever ridden.

The officials have awarded Hawaiian surfer Garret McNamara the Billabong Global Big Wave Awards prize after reviewing the feat - riding a wave that measured 23.7 meters high.

The 44-year-old surfer was dragged out to the wave on a tow rope, a kind of jet ski.

McNamara said he initially did not want to try the waves that day after wiping out earlier on bigger swells within the same spot.

The height of McNamara's wave was decided by a panel of huge wave surfing and photography experts who analyzed and measured the pictures and video images of his ride.

US Fencers Prepare for Olympics

The Usa is the best country to have qualified the utmost of 16 fencers for the London Olympic Games that begin in late July.  U.S. fencers are preparing for the contest not just physically, but mentally and emotionally.

Nzingha Prescod trains on the Fencers Club in Ny city.  The Columbia University student began fencing on the age of nine, and is making an attempt to contain her excitement about going to the Olympics.  

"i do not believe i need to consider it because the Olympics, because i think just like the nerves would overwhelm me," said Prescod.  "But when I just ponder it as another competition that I've done one million times, then i'm able to just fence like normal."

Prescod's teammate James Williams, seen here at a contemporary U.S. Olympic Committee promotional event in Ny city, says the Olympics magnify the psychological aspects of sports, as the games are so infrequent.

"Everybody is regularly at the level of parity physically at this point," said Williams.  "So it's mostly mental tenacity and mental fortitude that you are hoping to enhance."

Buckie Leach, Nzingha Prescod's coach, says the mental think about fencing is large.  But he cautions about dwelling on performance to fulfill relatives or a trainer.

"When those things enter into it then everything gets tousled," said Leach.  "So that you would like to be smart and understand, but in addition you ought to find that zone.  Thinking an excessive amount of could be a problem."

Leach says many nations have individual fencing styles - Germans are typically methodical, the Russians tactical, the French intense.  He explains how the Italian sense of feeling and emotion translates to the end of a sword.

"The Italians have a more free form way of educating, allowing the athlete to locate their very own way somewhat," Leach noted.  "They've got structure obviously, but it's more about how the athlete feels and what the connection is with the coach."

If the Olympics were just another competition, athletes wouldn't experience the anxieties that make the Games exciting.  The mental ability to cope with such tension is a part of what has made them Olympians.

Pakistan Blast Kills Police Officer

Security officials in Pakistan say a roadside bomb targeting a police vehicle killed one police officer and wounded at the least 12 folks Saturday within the northwest city of Peshawar.

A deputy police superintendent told reporters that the attack occurred as a police vehicle was escorting a van carrying prisoners from a native police station.

The officer said the bomb was detonated because the two vehicles reached an overpass.

He said the bomb disposal squad reported the device contained five kilograms of explosives. He said five of the wounded were policemen and at the very least two of them were seriously hurt.

The police official says suspects were taken into custody.

The Reuters news service reports the Pakistani branch of the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.  The gang often targets police, soldiers, and other security officials.

Bodies Retrieved from Indonesian Crash Site

Search teams in Indonesia have begun retrieving the bodies of passengers who were on a jetliner that slammed into the side of a volcano Wednesday however the reason behind the crash remains a mystery.

Family members of victims gathered at a Jakarta hospital on Saturday as remains of victims arrived in body bags.

Investigators believe there have been no survivors after the Russian-made jet carrying a minimum of 45 passengers crashed into the nearly vertical cliff of Mount Salak.

Officials say the pilot of the doomed Sukhoi Superjet 100 had taken off from Jakarta on a promotional tour that included prospective customers of the aircraft.

Search teams on the jungle crash site have found no signs of the jet's black box recorder that may make clear the reason for the crash.

However, the French news agency says Indonesia's transport ministry has confirmed that a Jakarta control tower gave the pilot permission to descend from 3,000 to at least one,800 meters,.  

There have been no explanation of why the Russian pilot requested the altitude drop. The plane disappeared from radar shortly after the request and slammed into the volcano, that is 2,200 meters in elevation.

The Sukhoi Superjet 100 is currently utilized by Russia's largest carrier, Aeroflot, and the Armenian carrier, Armavia.

Activists: 3 Killed in Syria

Government shelling and security force gunfire have left at the least three people dead across Syria as U.N. observers launch more tours to observe a shaky cease-fire.

The opposition Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says two people were killed during security force raids in Idlib province on Saturday and a 3rd person died during pre-dawn shelling within the flashpoint Hama region.

In another development, a video posted online says the al-Nusra Front militant group is answerable for massive twin bombings in Damascus, on Thursday, that killed no less than 55 people.

Middle East analyst M.J. Gohel says the crowd recently began gaining prominence.

"This can be a group that not an awful lot is understood about it," said Gohel.  "It emerged in the beginning of this year in January and it has a worldwide Jihadist agenda and it calls its fighters Mujahadeen within the same because the Taliban fighters."

Gohel, the top of the London-Based Asia-Pacific Foundation, says the group's strengths and capabilities are unclear.

"This may be only a propaganda small group," Gohel added.  "It's not known what sort of ground capable operational capability it has. All we all know is that it has made every kind of claims."
The Syrian government has urged the U.N. Security Council to do so to combat terrorism, within the wake of Thursday's blasts.

The unrest happened as U.N. observers continued to fan out across Syria to observe the govt and the opposition's compliance to a cease-fire brokered by international envoy Kofi Annan.

On Saturday, the monitors received 24 armored vehicles that were donated by the ecu Union.

EU ambassador to Syria Vassilis Bontosoglou said the vehicles show the EU's support of Annan's mission.

"It's an expression of commitment of the eu Union to the Kofi Annan plan," noted Bontosoglou.

The U.N. says greater than 9,000 people has been killed in violence concerning the anti-government uprising which erupted in March 2011.

Also Saturday, Turkish state-run media say two journalists who went missing in Syria in March was freed by using Iranian mediation.

The news reports say both men had been flown to Tehran.

Greek President to check out to Form Government

Greece's president has summoned leaders of the country's fractious political parties to a Sunday meeting in a final-ditch effort to form a brand new coalition government.

Greek President Karolos Papoulias said Saturday he would meet with conservative leader Antonis Samaras, radical left chief Alexis Tsipras and socialist leader Evangelos Venizelos in fact three did not gather enough support  to create a brand new government. Mr. Papoulias' office also said he would meet separately with the leaders of 4 other parties that won enough votes in last Sunday's splintered election to realize seats in parliament.

None of the country's political parties came with regards to winning enough seats to form a central authority by itself. Now, Mr. Papoulias has until next Thursday to broker a deal to create a coalition government. If he fails, Greece should hold new elections in June.

The key point of contention centers at the debt-ridden Greek government's acquiescence to the demands of its international lenders and European neighbors to impose sharp austerity measures in exchange for approval of its second bailout in two years.

Samaras and Venizelos supported the social spending cuts, but Tsipras says voters repudiated the austerity agreement and that Greece isn't obligated to hold it out. Greeks have frequently taken to the streets in massive, sometimes violent protests against the plan calling for higher taxes, reduced pensions and elimination of thousands of presidency jobs.

But European leaders have warned the Athens government that it must perform the austerity measures or they won't send it more bailout money. Financial analysts say that Greece could default on its financial obligations and become the primary country to go away the 17-nation euro currency union.

On Friday, Venizelos announced that the novel Left Coalition, or Syriza, refused to sign up for the Socialists and conservatives in a unity government. The Socialist and conservative New Democracy parties have proposed a gentle phasing out of the harsh measures imposed by the eu Union and International Monetary Fund.  The leftists want those measures canceled immediately.  

Greek voters punished both the Socialists (PASOK) headed by Venizelos and New Democracy led by Samaras for having pushed in the course of the tough economic austerity measures. Both parties have traditionally won 80 percent of the votes in Greek elections, but last Sunday only collected 32 percent.

New Democracy won one of the most parliamentary seats within the voting, followed by the unconventional Left and the Socialists. New polls show the unconventional Left gaining strength because the voting every week ago.

William Balfour Found Guilty in Jennifer Hudson Family Murder Case

William Balfour - the previous brother-in-law of Jennifer Hudson who was arrested for killing her mother, brother and nephew - have been found guilty on three counts of first-degree murder.

Hudson (together with her fiancé and sister) was contained in the courtroom when the decision was read and sources tell E! News they sat silently throughout.

Balfour failed to testify on his own behalf, although the Oscar winner did take the stand early on within the trial and broke down in tears at one point.

In addition to the murder charges, Balfour was found guilty of home invasion, residential burglary, aggravated kidnapping and possession of a stolen vehicle. He faces life in prison.

"NASA's Space Shuttle changed the best way we expect about space, making it more accessible, understandable and useful," stated Space Center Houston President, Richard Allen. "That's our intent to continue that legacy with this exciting new attraction." The replica shuttle may be getting a couple of upgrades, including a brand new cockpit that more closely resembles the inner of space shuttle Atlantis, and may be housed in a brand new education facility this is being built across the mock spacecraft. Sure, it is not as exciting as a valid shuttle launch, but we're still happy to provide the old bird one final send off.

IBM celebrates the 15th anniversary of Deep Blue beating Garry Kasparov (video)

It has been 15 years since IBM's Deep Blue recorded its famous May 11th 1997 victory over world champion chess player Garry Kasparov -- a landmark in artificial intelligence. Designed by Big Blue as a sense of understanding high-power parallel processing, the "brute force" system could examine 200 million chess positions every second, beating the grandmaster 3.5-2.5 after losing 4-2 the former year. It went directly to help develop medicines, analyze risk and aid data miners before being replaced with Blue Gene and, more recently, Watson -- which recorded a famous series of victories on Jeopardy! in 2011. Report: Apple dumping Google for own Maps app in iOS 6

Granted, Apple and Google aren't quite the bosom buddies they once were, but how far is Cupertino going to free itself from the Android-maker? Well, Apple's picked up a variety of mapmakers and is now reportedly on the point of unveil a Google map competitor for iOS. 9to5Mac is reporting that the mapping solution could be in-place for a better major version of the mobile operating system, combining technologies gathered with the purchase of Placebase, C3 Technologies and Poly9. These changes aren't yet set in stone, however, because Facebook desires to know what you're thinking that before doing so. iCloud.com slip-up shows Notes and Reminders, iOS 6 references

Appears like Apple's going to feature greater than just banner notifications to iCloud.com within the near future: a randomly available beta.icloud.com page has shown Notes and Reminders alongside familiar iCloud fixtures like email and Find My iPhone. If that wasn't enough, some skulking about inside the HTML code of the beta page showed for a time that access to the hot features requires signing in to the "iOS 6 beta," a reasonably strong indicator that an online refresh will go hand-in-hand with a brand new mobile platform at this year's WWDC. What else is in store will likely need to wait until the developer event next month, but we as a minimum know now that our iPhone's grocery lists will survive on the net.

Nokia confirms intent to bring unlocked Pureview 808 handset to US (update)

Nokia's major focal points in the US market may currently be its Lumia 900 and Windows Phone, but that does not mean it's planning to depart its other notable offerings outside of Uncle Sam's borders. Speaking with PC Mag, Nokia executive Chris Weber explained that the corporate aims to supply its current imaging- / Symbian Belle flagship-handset, the 41-megapixel Pureview 808, north of Mexico within the "next couple of months" -- unsurprising, considering it recently gone through the underground testing-chambers of the FCC. Unlike the Lumia, however, this mega-phone will only be sold unlocked, naturally sporting AT&T bands (possibly others, too. See the update below.) for connectivity. While we're still desperate to discover more detailed availability information, now you can rest assured that you're going to soon manage to capture highly detailed photos of your freedom fries to post on Tumblr.

HP's TouchSmart sub-brand and its other AIOs must be no stranger to many PC advocates, but in case you've never encounter one before, the company's laid them all out on one side of its Global Influencer Summit in Shanghai. Models range from the TouchSmart IQ770 launched back in 2007, the whole thanks to the recently shipped Z1 workstation or even the just-announced t410 Smart Zero Client; however the real gem of the booth is that little beige HP 150 right within the middle -- it's among the many first-ever touchscreen PCs, dating back to 1983, powered by an 8MHz Intel 8088 chip, ran MS-DOS and price an insignificant $3,995.

Whilst at the topic, HP's Vp of business Design Stacy Wolff shared some interesting stats: his team found that very similar to laptops, there are very different screen size preferences across different regions, with the united states showing strong interest in 20-inch and 23-inch HP AIOs, whereas China much prefers 20-inch over 21.5-inch and 23-inch. With the massive jump in AIO market penetration in each region between 2008 to 2012 (almost doubled in Japan and the united states; and a bigger leap for other markets), HP predicts that these machines will continue to steadily increase market penetration across more price points -- this was illustrated with what it conveniently calls the "AIO wedge" on a chart. HP takes print clear of town for seven days, laughs at \'print is dead\' claim (updated)

With e-books and digital subscription of magazines and newspapers becoming the brand new hot, many are sending off the message that print is gradually losing or has even already lost to its digital counterpart, while others argue that print is much from dead. Take into account that, being one of the most leading manufacturers of printers, HP took the "print is dead" claim quite personally -- and maybe too literally. How so? Well, the corporate commissioned a project that got participants within the US, India and Singapore to live without printed materials -- including newspapers, books, labels, packaging, ID cards or even some clothes -- for 2 days. Keep in mind that, those folks struggled really badly, but HP certainly proved that "the role of print is vastly underestimated" and that "true print deprivation was impossible."

In the event you think that's an overkill, just you wait: HP and renowned photographer Chase Jarvis even went so far as getting a Wisconsin town called Spring Green to undergo an analogous experiment, but for a duration of 7 days. All the project may be presented in a video documentary called 7 Days Without Print, and just before its premiere at Guggenheim Museum in Big apple on June 14, we were shown an exclusive trailer for said movie at HP's Global Influencer Summit in Shanghai. For the sake of these poor participants, do take a look at the clip right after the break.
