This week we're ready to announce our greatest Bets for Green Cars. This category contains hybrids, alternative-fuel vehicles in addition to a number of others that just received the nod to be added to the list.

Best Bets include any vehicle you will be confident in buying. We have got four criteria in determining which cars to recommend:
- The automobile must get average or better fuel economy for its segment
- The automobile should have average or better reliability
- The automobile must get average or better scores in crash tests (although we do have some exceptions for low-volume models that aren't crash-tested)
- And Cars.com's editors must endorse the automobile to boot.
