Stephen Maguire secured a dramatic victory over Ronnie OSullivan within the China Open quarter-finals.
The Scot sealed his 5-4 triumph with a treble into the center pocket after the black needed to be re-spotted. He'll tackle Stephen Lee who beat defending champion Judd Trump 5-3.
Within the evening session home favourite Ding Junhui comfortably beat world number 14 Ali Carter 5-2 to advance.
Peter Ebdon overcame Neil Robertson 5-3 to book his own place within the last four.
Maguire, who won the tournament in 2008, made serene progress during the first two frames with breaks of 76 and 57. OSullivan pulled level, before pegging Maguire back again to a few-3 and four-4 with breaks of 102 and 48.
The 3-time world champion was squeezed out in a captivating decider, despite a break of 41 that gave the impression to have put him on top of things.

Maguire held his nerve to drew level on points, before taking the re-spotted black with a huge slice of luck because it rebounded off the cushions thrice and into the pocket.
OSullivan said: "Hes a top player and youve got to present credit to Stephen because he hung in well there and he made a clearance on the end to get us to the re-spot besides."
an attractive break of 113 inside the fourth was the highlight of Lees victory as he recovered from the lack of the hole two frames to brush to victory.
Trump was left ruing a missed pink that can have checked the Englishmans momentum within the sixth frame but insisted he could shrug off the defeat.
"I wont really take an excessive amount of notice of it," he said. "Its rather a lot harder to play out here with the time difference. Im just eager for the area Championship."
