Former Dunfermline Athletic manager Jim McIntyre has joined Bristol City as first-team coach under Derek McInnes until the tip of the season.
The 39-year-old were doing a little scouting for his former Dundee United team-mate after being sacked by the struggling Pars in March.
McIntyre had led Dunfermline to the Division One title last season.
But he was replaced by Jim Jefferies with Dunfermline sitting bottom of the Scottish Premier League.
The previous Falkirk, Hearts, Bradford City and Kilmarnock manager drew his first game responsible but has since suffered two defeats because the Pars have slipped six points adrift of second-bottom Hibernian.
Dunfermline haven't begun to record a win at home in any competition this season.
McIntyres probabilities of keeping the Pars in Scotlands top flight have been hampered by the East End Park club having the smallest budget of the 12 clubs.
Now he moves from one relegation battle to a different to aid fellow Scotsman McInnes, who moved from SPL outfit St Johnstone which includes assistant Tony Docherty to take charge at Ashton Gate in October after the sacking of Keith Millen.
McIntyre arrives because the Robins 1-0 win away to Nottingham Forest lifted McInnes side some extent above third-bottom Coventry City, who're the visitors of their Easter Monday Championship fixture.
The previous striker began his senior playing career at Ashton Gate but played just one game, spending a loan spell at Exeter City, before switching to Airdrieonians in 1993.
After spells at Kilmarnock, Reading and United, McIntyre hung up his boots at Dunfermline after being made player-manager following the sacking of Stephen Kenny in December 2007.
