Steven Finn and Jonathan Trott insist Test captain Andrew Strauss has the backing of the britain dressing room.
Questions was raised about 35-year-old Strausss future following defeat by Sri Lanka inside the first Test and his recent indifferent form.
"I dont think there may be any question he wont be dependable this summer and beyond," Finn told BBCs Sportsweek.
Trott added: "I dont see anyone else captaining England - well, not for more than one years."
The 75-run defeat in Galle was Englands fourth in a row following the 3-0 whitewash by Pakistan within the United Arab Emirates earlier this year.
