Wakefield Trinity Wildcats have rewarded Ben Cockaynes strong begin to the season with a brand new two-year deal.
The 28-year-old utility-back has scored seven tries in eight matches after signing for the 2012 season.
Cockayne told BBC Radio Leeds: "Ive got stuck in and Ive done whats been asked of me.
"I didnt feel I had some degree to prove but i wished to repay Richard [Agar, Wakefield coach] for placing his faith in me."

The previous Hull KR player initially joined Wakefield in October after a quick spell with Featherstone, in which he won the Championship Grand Final.
Ben Cockayne"I know for a fact now that any slight slip-up and that is me probably finishedรข
Cockayne made 139 appearances in five years with Hull KR before parting company by mutual consent in July 2011, after a number of high-profile discipline issues.
"I got a little bit a wake-up call once I needed to leave Hull KR last year - it was the kick up the backside that i wanted," said Cockayne.
"I had a good time at Featherstone and being there on an element-time basis gave me lots of time to mirror on what i used to be missing out on.
"i love to think Ive put all those things behind me and Im just waiting for being a grown-up man and enjoying my rugby league and whatever Ive got left within the tank.
"i do know for a fact now that any slight slip-up and thats me probably finished so far as rugby league is bothered."
